Joseph Cheaney established the company in 1886 and in 1869, along with his brother Arthur, they moved to the site which the factory occupies today. What makes Cheaney so special is our workforce. They are crasftsmen and experienced shoe-makers, many of whom have been brought up in Desborough, a town steeped in the tradition of shoe making.
